Design Philosophy
Austin worked in conjunction with Mott MacDonald to create an 80 student natural science and chemistry teaching lab with supporting preparatory laboratory facilities. This facility is to aide in the large scale teaching of undergraduate first year courses.
The aesthetic of the laboratory was informed both by the robustness required in a university setting, and had exposed services. The benching system was to be able to house anything from microscropy work , to large scale human remains.
