Austin were asked to develop a feasibility study Stage C to E. The project included four packages of work – an enabling package, a specialist facility unit, a wet laboratory unit with ancillary supporting facilities.
The facility was to be sited in the basement of an existing building was comprised of a Victorian and 1990s concrete frame architecture, with a slab to slab height of 2.7m. This drove the architectural strategy, the plant area, and the space planning, to ensure efficient distribution of services.
